To create the tag book, begin with the 6 large tags. Tear three of the tags off from side to side about 1/2" from the bottom. Lightly moisten by brushing a small amount of water on each one as you start to color. Pull color on to the brush from a light blue watercolor crayon and paint the entire front of one tag and set aside to dry, repeat with the remaining five tags. Allow the tags to slightly dry, about ten minutes and then apply a dark green wash to a smaller area of each tag. Finally, paint areas of each tag with a dark purple, adding color to areas to provide interest and to break up any large areas of color. Allow the tags to completely dry.

While waiting for the tags to dry, it is time to create the embellishments. On white cardstock, stamp a Marissa image with pink metallic ink for the wings, French Blue from the waist down and orange for the hair. A Rhiannon image, tall Dragon Song Postoid set, and a flying dragon image are stamped in black. On the blue cardstock, stamp a set of the square Dragon postoids in black ink. Stamp a crystal ball image in black StazOn onto a transparent collage sheet image. Trim all the images out. Color the Marissa image with blue, yellow and purple watercolor crayons. The dragon postoids are colored in with blue and green watercolor crayons and the wings are colored in with a gold paint pen. The flying dragon is painted with blue and purple watercolor crayons. While it is slightly damp a thin layer of white Pearl Ex is smeared with a finger along the wings. On the watercolor paper, using embossing ink, stamp the dragon bust image and emboss with clear embossing powder. Color in with green watercolor crayon, allow to dry and trim out. The last embellishment to make is the puzzle piece. Lay the puzzle piece over the stamped image of Rhiannon and trace around it. Trim to fit and adhere with Modge Podge. Paint the image with purple and blue watercolor crayons and allow to dry. After the piece is dry, apply a layer of Crystal Effects and allow to dry overnight.



Turn the three full length tags over to expose the back sides. Using the mulberry, vellum and cardstock papers embellish the backs of the tags from the bottom up at least an inch. Match up each of the full length and torn tags placing their backs together to create a pocket, the embellished area will show beneath the torn area to create a finished look. Working with one pair of tags at a time, on the front stamp the Branwyn image at the bottom in plum ink and the "Once upon a Time" image in black ink. Embellish with a dragon postoid and mulberry paper flower. The flower is finished off with a yellow, flower shaped bead. Decorate the back of the set by stamping the Castle in the Forest image in dark brown, "Magical" image in black ink and embellish with the flying dragon image. To finish this pocket, place the two tags back to back, clip together with papers clips and using the Crop-a-dile punch holes about an eighth of an inch away from the edge along the sides of the tags. Using one 1 yard length of fiber sew the two tags together.



The next pocket was created using the moonlit castle from the Dragon Song plate stamped in dark brown, the moon was highlighted with a yellow watercolor crayon. Two dragon postoids are attached and embellished with a photo turn and brad. Finish the front with the dragon's bust image that was created on the watercolor paper. On the back tag, stamp a set of tall dragon postoids in dark brown at an angle. Embellish with a fairy from the collage sheet, stem shaped sticker and three paper flowers that are attached with a brad. Stamp the "wonder" image at the bottom in dark brown. Place the two tags back to back and sew together with a 1 yard piece of fiber.



The last pocket is created by stamping the Rhiannon image at an angle in black ink. The "Enchantment" image, from the Dragon Song plate, is also stamped at and angle in black ink. Embellish the tag with the puzzle piece, a mulberry paper flower attached with a brad and finished off with a butterfly bead. The back of the pocket is stamped with the Monique image once from the waist up on the left hand side at the top in pink metallic ink. The stars are stamped randomly several times in pink metallic ink. Stamp the "Imagine" image in gray along the right hand side. Embellish with the crystal ball transparency. Place the two tags back to back and sew together with a yard of fiber.

The pockets are bound together with several pieces of 12" coordinating fibers through the hole.



The inserts are made from the three smaller tags. Using the blue, green and purple ink pads, swirl the color all over the fronts. Using an old credit card or other stiff, thin plastic piece, smear a light coat of gesso over the colored tags. Allow to dry. On a flat surface, lay the three colored tags face up and randomly stamp the "Pixie Magic," "Wonder," "Whimsey," dragonfly, and star images in pink metallic ink. On one tag, embellish two corners with purple mulberry paper. Attach a collage transparency with antique brads, at an angle. The next insert is embellished with piece of purple, floral embossed paper running up the left hand side, a flower and butterfly sticker cut in half are added. The last insert is made by tearing the long edge off on the right hand side of the tag. A piece of blue cardstock is attached to the back to replace the torn area. Flowers from the Marissa image are stamped in Lipstick Pink at the bottom and the stamped image is added. The 'Fairy Dust" image is stamped in pink metallic ink along the right hand side with alphabet stickers added to give dimension. Finish the tags off with fibers and brads.
