Featuring Magical Hat stamp from our plate #FS-12 Magic Lands.

Wizard's Necklace

Magical Hat stamp from Faerie Song plate - FS-12 ~ Magic Lands
Black Sculpey III
Parchment Paper
Craf T Rub-ons Metallic Kit #1
Modge Podge
Darice Black Coated Craft Wire
36" of Coordinating Fibers
Beads from Blue Moon

Condition one section of the black Sculpey until pliable. On parchment paper, roll out to 1/4" thick and stamp image. With a craft knife, trim the excess clay away. Bake per manufacturer's instructions and allow to cool. Once cool, highlight the clay image with the copper and ruby colored rub-ons, brush a smooth coat of Modge Podge and allow to dry. Once dry, cut 2 pieces of the black wire 10" long and 1 piece about an inch long. Holding the two longer pieces of wire together, evenly wrap the shorter piece of wire around them, starting about 1 1/2" from the bottom, continuing approximately upwards 1 inch. Place the wired end of the wires above the brim of the hat on the back side, wrapping around the front and around to the back at the fold of the hat's crown. Separate the two pieces of wire so that there is a wire coming from each side of the top of the hat. Apply a heavy coat of Modge Podge to the back of the hat covering the wires and allow to dry.

Once the hat is dry, cut four pieces of wire 10" long and separate into pairs. Cut two additional pieces of wire about an inch long. Holding one of the wire leads from the hat, add two of the additional lengths of wire and wrap the trio with the short wire starting about 1/2" from the hat and ending about 1" from the hat. String one large bead onto a single wire, hold the three wires together and add the a smaller bead, add another large bead onto the single wire, a small bead onto the three wires and a large bead will finish off the beading. Holding the remain length of wire in your hand, fold it over about 1" from the last bead creating a loop that should be at least 1/4" in diameter. Wrap a 1" piece of wire around the bottom of the loop to close it off. Repeat these steps on the other side of the necklace.

To finish your necklace off, cut the fibers into one 24" length and 4 - 3" lengths. Tie a knot into the long hank of fibers on one each about 3" from the bottom, thread the length through one of the loops on the pendant. Pull the loose end of fibers through the other loop of the pendant and knot off, leaving about 3" of fibers hanging. At points along the fiber chain, tie of the smaller pieces of fibers to create added interest.

Featuring Scroll stamp from our plate #FS-12 Magic Lands.

Scroll Bracelet

from Faerie Song plate - FS-12 ~ Magic Lands
Sculpey III - White (1/2 block) Gold (1/8 block) and Translucent (1/8 block)
Colorbox Chalk Ink Pad - Azurite
Gold Wire - Darice cut into 13 - 3" lengths
Modge Podge

Mix and condition the Sculpey III and soft and pliable. Roll out until 1/4" thick. Using a butter knife, trim the clay into a rectangular strip about 2" wide. Rework the scraps of clay and roll out again to 1/4" thick an additional strip 2" wide. The overall length of the clay pieces needs to be at least 8".

Once the scroll stamp is inked, stamp the first tile about 1/4" from the edge. Continue to stamp the clay with the scroll, reinking each time, leaving about 1/2" between the images. With the butter knife cut stamped images apart, creating tiles about 1 1/4" wide each. Once completed you should have 6 tiles. Curve and smooth the edges and sides. Additional clay can be made if more tiles are needed.

While the clay is still pliable, carefully thread the wire through the tiles from side to side at both top and bottom. Set the extra piece of wire to the side. Cure the clay per manufacturers instructions.

Once the clay has hardened, using round nose pliers, create rings about 3/8" from the tile. Using the last piece of wire, create jumprings and connect the tiles together. Distress the tiles with the Azurite ink pad and apply a coat of Modge Podge to seal.
