Gift Bag for a Girl

Using a small brown paper bag (penny candy size), attach purple cardstock to front and back sides of bag with glue. Set aside to dry.

Stamp image with black ink onto heavy white cardstock. Color with pencils and cut out, trimming closely. Add crystal lacquer to ball center and clear glitter glue to window sides. Allow to dry. Stamp verse on a white scrap with black ink. Cut around piece with a pinking shears. Punch two 1/8” holes in top of bag, threading a length of sheer lilac ribbon thru. Tie into a bow and allow streamers to hang loose at sides. Attach ends of ribbon and three large gold sequence stars to front of bag with glue dots.

Gift Bag for a Boy

Using an small empty cardboard box (I used a Nature Valley Granola 4-pk. box), open seams and lay flat with unprinted side facing you. Using a ruler, draw a line one inch from top of box edge and with a scissors, cut that piece off. Turn piece over and cover with glue. Adhere scrapbook paper and allow to dry. Using a bone folder, rub over seams to make crisp edges. Sponge entire piece with green chalk ink. Glue sides together and set bag aside.

Sponge edges with green ink. Add yellow glitter glue to stars. After dry, punch a 1/8” hole in top of piece, attaching verse with a star brad. Adhere image to front with pop dots. Fill bag with a small gift and paper grass.
